2D Flower – The Easiest Crochet Flower

This is probably the easiest crochet flower you can make. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete. I often use these flowers as buttons, which you can see on this case, for example:

What You Need

I used DROPS Paris yarn with a 3.5mm hook, which resulted in a flower approximately 3 cm in diameter.

Abbreviations

We will work exclusively in a magic ring. The stitches used are: chain stitch, double crochet, and slip stitch.

Pattern

Start with a magic ring, where we will work everything – just one round is needed.

In the magic ring, work:

• 3 chain stitches
• 1 double crochet
• 3 chain stitches
• slip stitch into the magic ring

This creates the first petal. Repeat this step 4 more times (you will have a flower with five petals), then tighten the magic ring and fasten off.
